Unit 2 Hobbies of Book 2


In this unit students will be able to describe their personal interests and hobbies; such as sports, film, music, and making friends.
This unit will deal with interests and hobbies of the students.
The language functions feature in the communication of students about their hobbies and the brief discussion about some issues in order to elicit their own ideas from students.
The grammatical structure focuses on the past tense by using some auxiliary verb “了”。 Ma Ming, Jack and the other friends are still the main characters.
The students will learn to discuss the situations and results of the games and matches; they will learn to express pity and different viewpoints; they will also learn to express emergency and they will learn create posters and write diaries.
Students will be able to
1.discuss the situations and outcomes of sports games.
2.briefly express their viewpoints of certain event
3. monitor their progress, achievement and adjust some learning strategies.
4.expereince Chinese culture in a variety of forms on the field trip.
5.express giving and declining.
6.simply express pity or regret.
7.learn two objects in a sentence pattern.
8.learn more about the structures of Chinese characters
9.express pity and remorse.
10.simply state different ideas.
11.express the emergency
12.master the sentence pattern of be about to do something in Chinese.

Unit 3 Sweet Home of Book 2


Students will participate and celebrate family activities including getting-together, birthday celebrating, engaging in chores, and generation gap issue.
The students get to know the relationship between one's career goal and the current effort, the importance of family love and friendship.
It addresses family and the communication among family members. It involves leaving messages to family members and friends, negotiating about the use of commodities, and planning a birthday celebration. Linguistically, present continuous tense in the Chinese language is introduced with regarding to the pertinent structures and verbs. Characters involve Ma Ming, Anne and Li Dalong with his family members.

The students will know...
1.the present continuous tense in Chinese.
2 how to use the adverb 在.
3.the differences between 在and 再.
4. the format of leaving a message.
5. the career expectations.
6. Chinese Valentine's Day.

Unit 4 Diet and Health of Book 2


Students will understand the importance of leading a healthy and productive life.
The topics in the unit address diet, weight loss, diseases, and health. In a more specific way, the functions feature in ordering food at the fast restaurants, expressing needs and satisfaction for food and drinks, advising somebody to do something, discussing weight loss, describing the diseases of the body, purchasing medicine and learning some sports. Grammatically, verb tense auxiliary “了” and result complement are introduced and practiced.

3. the ways to buy medicine in Chinese pharmacy.
4. the description of a certain decease.
5. the Chinese viewpoint about the diet and health.
Students will be able to:
1.express their preference and needs for food..

5.exchange of diverse dishes.
6. suggestions of healthy, productive lifestyles.
7.describe symptoms of some disease.
